Faith Writers Website

I just joined this site and it is a great site for Christian Writers, including the beginner. There are lots of great resources in this site even as a free account. But if you want to utilize other great features in this site a small monthly fee of just $10 per month will get you a Faith Writers 500 access. This gives you access to certain locations on this site that will help you get your name out there. The contests on her are great! They have lots of great ideas! So click on over to http://www.faithwriters.com and see what it is all about!

Scribophile Rocks!

If you want some good quality feedback on your writings you need to click on over to scribophile. There is a lot of great people there and you dont have to be "in with the crowd" to be a part of it! I have been to places like WE Book and various others where they are very judgemental and down right rude! http://www.scribophile.com is an absolute perfect website for the beginner writer! When you join make sure you join the Newbie Enabler to learn how to post critiques. It takes work to get your first post on your account for the free one but the payed version which is well worth the cost gives you much more bells and whistles. It gives you a feel of facebook.

Kudos to the designer of the website!!

Virus

This is small chunk of a piece I am writing. Not much now but may turn out to be something in the future! :)

"What is that in the sky?" said little Tommy pointing at the object shooting through the air.

"Whoa, awesome! Looks like a meteor," Steve replied.

The two young boys ran to the edge of their yard and watched as fireball streaked by their home over the valley. The grey wolf; scavanging for food; looked up as the bright light caught its eye. Startled, it ran to a set of bushes nearby. The meteor hit the ground causing the ground to shake locally creating a crater large enough for a small car to fit in. Dust and dirt was thrown everywhere. The wolf stood for some time then crept out of the bushes slowly looking around, sniffing the air for some signs of danger. Smoke was rising up out of the pit created by the meteor. The wolf approached the edge of the pit then cautiously crept down to the object.

Blood

Michel's heart was beating so hard it felt as if it was going to pop out of his chest and hit the floor with a splat. Minutes ago he was enjoying a nice jog through the park until now. The blood was everywhere. Even the grass that used to be green was now covered in crimson. Blood spatters all over the leaves of the trees as high as he could reach. Michel just stood there in unbelief, shocked by the site. His mind kicked in to overdrive as he turned and ran as fast as he could to his car to call 911. It seemed like forever before he got to the car. Panting and in a panic he hunted for his keys. He pulled them out dropping them on the ground. He quickly bent over and picked them up fumbling with the lock of the car. He threw open the door grabbing his cell phone. He shook in fear so bad that he almost dialed the wrong number but was able to manage. A relieving female voice spoke on the other end of the phone.

"911, what is your emergency?"

"Blood....It's everywhere....."

"Sir, did you say blood?"

"Everywhere.....on the trees, in the grass, everywhere!"

"Where are you located at sir?", the female voice replied.

Silence. Michel was drawing a blank. Where am I? Think. Think. The park!

"Sir... Sir... are you still there?", The female voice was louder over the phone to attempt to get Michel's attention, "Sir I need to know your location so I can send someone out there.

"Central Park on 95th street and hurry! I will be in a red Dodge pickup!"

"We will be right there!"

"Please hurry!" Michel hung up the phone.

Michel felt tears start to push their way out of his eyes. Who could have done this? He thought. The main question was if that was human blood, then where was the body!
